Mats was introduced to bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Accept and many more at the age of 13. That was the beginning of his musical interest. Was a member of several bands during the following years, playing original music and covers. Recorded albums with Furiam (2016) and with Stormburner, who he was a member of between 2017-2021.
Was recommended to Danny by The Hawk, who asked him if he wanted to tryout on a couple of gigs. It was a no-brainer as it was exactly that kind of music he likes. Both gigs were very successful leading to Mats officially joining Weapon in February 2024..
